Sahaayta Counselling & Social Support provides help from counsellors, social workers, alcohol and drug practitioners, support workers and volunteers.

The governance board oversees the work of Gandhi Nivas and includes representatives from Serenity Foundation, Total Healthcare PHO, the New Zealand Police and the Accident Compensation Corporation. It also receives advice from Sahaayta's manager Sucharita Varma and Counties Manukau Police District ethnic services coordinator Gurpreet Arora.
